A Merry Christmas Message 🎅 from iServalan at Tale Teller Club 🎁

hello Darlings welcome to the four poster now it's 17 minutes past midnight so I figured rather than do a happy Christmas in the morning I'll do a Merry Christmas now um and that also means that I have less rushing around tomorrow because tomorrow I'm off to Brighton to see the grandkids and I've got so much stuff I've been doing a lot of artwork and Framing and things I've tried to have a handmade Christmas and I was supposed to tell everybody about it and make videos and what have you and I've just been so busy I have I've really neglected my internet presence so um you know it's I do apologize actually I feel a bit guilty I'm sort of looking back on things and realizing that I didn't share any of my wonderful tips for having a Christmas where you don't spend much money anyway needless to say it's not exactly a free Christmas but it's as cheap as I could manage to get it down to I chipped away Darlings I chipped away at this expenses and I did a lot of Art and you know I give up to people even if they don't want it people don't really value art anymore but they get it you know they get art I don't mean they get it they don't understand it quite often a bit slurry I've had a vodka anyway I wanted to be the first person to wish anybody who's on their own tonight in these wee small hours because at Christmas Eve is a funny one isn't it you you may well be going somewhere on Christmas day but Christmas Eve I find it very slow the shops are closed and there's this sort of atmosphere of absence uh you know when you go online on your social media and what have you there's nobody around because most people are with their families and I'm not with my family tonight but I will be tomorrow and we're staying at a hotel I'm going with my mum and a family friend I'm going to see the grandkids and all of that um but of course already I'm having slight you know what ifs what if I you know I'm in a terrible car crash and my cat dies I mean it's ridiculous isn't it but I very seldom leave the four poster you see I'm incarcerated especially since winter Came Upon Us much love to America actually who are going through some terrible terrible weather at the moment um so there we go I I've got lots of plans for the future and if you're following the podcasts you'll know that I've qualified now as a semi-permanent makeup tattooist and I've also started tattooing myself with a poke tattoo thing so I am going to get out the 360 video and start videoing all of that and I've set up a Blog especially for it it was really exciting and I've got some really wonderful things that I'm going to be doing in January and I'll be podcasting about them all sharing the dream you know sharing the dream of of trying to get through a bleak well we've done I mean this is a thing isn't it when's it going to end they keep saying oh covered was terrible you know and then we've had another bloody year of you know pretty Grim stuff actually and you know I wonder how many of us are going to cope with that if we don't find some positivity in the world so I want to be doing some really upbeat positive things so that's one of my New Year's resolutions actually is to be much more positive and to try and pass that positivity on because I'm a very positive person at the moment I mean I've had periods where I haven't been Darlings we all get those don't we the old hormones are going batshit crazy so I I'm really looking to sort of compact my output into more organized um chaos so a Blog for this a Blog for that and a Blog for that do you see and I think I've licked it I've been really busy tonight I'm literally I've stopped working two seconds ago and yes I did have my vodka and I was still working but there we go um it was a very Mar you know I have terribly watered down vodka Darlings I can't um I can't stomach too much uh alcohol these days unfortunately um anyway tomorrow I'm off to Brighton which is very a great fun place to be but I'm going to spend the afternoon at my daughter's and visit my grandson who's absolutely adorable little boy and guess what I did I've made four tiny little portraits of him and his mummy and they were so easy to do I'll tell you how to do them actually you take I took them off her Instagram and on my iPad I sat the iPad in a suitable place it depends where the light is you want a dark room actually works but this works better in the dark and then I traced the outline and then I literally just shaded a bit and used the smudger and I made four beautiful portraits it was so simple and so incredibly cheap I used cartridge paper and the frame I got was a lovely Laura Ashley frame which was about I suppose about eight inches Square Maybe 10. mirrored really classy and it had a frame a mounting it for four images and um so yeah I mean that I think the frame cost me about four pounds I think I mean I'm always up for a bargain as you know so um oh just have a wonderful day and I'm going to well I've set up a chat actually on my WhatsApp a chat box on my website so you can actually just go to my website and tap that little circle in the corner and send me a Christmas message that's so cool isn't it so that's just go on my website and you can message me and I will get it tomorrow and I will wish you a very very happy Christmas back again mark my words um so Renaissance is my is one of my singles I thought I'd play that for you because I'm feeling like I've sort of reborn somehow I feel like I've had such a a wonderful year of output in terms of output and creativity and I wrote another song the other day um I can't remember what it's about but I wrote it I'd had a wine I'm sadly like an alcoholic honestly it was last week I promise and I'd I always write something in my head on the way home something about cycling in the dark where the only noise is the wind I think it might have been raining as well something about that sound against my ear gives me a tune every time it's only when the wind's up there it doesn't happen when it's just air when I'm penetrating the air I don't get it I don't get that rush you see um and I wrote a song about something um and I was really pleased because I hadn't found the inspiration to write words for a for a track for a while then I was in the bath yesterday and I thought of another one but I didn't write it down so completely forgotten it now this is the importance of writing things down actually you really should try um to always walk around with a well your phone you can do it on your phone contact you can just um leave yourself a message and say oh I've got this wonderful song um anyway Renaissance which was written because I'm you know in the throes of the a personal Renaissance and another Renaissance when I look back on my life I think I've probably had several and Renaissance means Rebirth of course it does and you know we all go through that don't we actually it's very important to you know throw the old you away and start the new if you want to if you want to change things because if you don't do that you're not going to change anything are you so I'm all about changing so here's my single Renaissance by Taylor Club I hope you like it and uh I was going to find a Christmas song but it it was proving to be a drama because I'm on my iPad not my laptop I've done some beautiful artwork to get actually as well if you pop over to Redbubble and it's not an exhibition exactly but there's a sort of gallery there where you can see all the work it's a beautiful beautiful pictures I've been doing working with my AI and my AI throws these things at me and there they've usually got maybe four or five mistakes in them so hands usually have six eight ten fingers on one hand honestly it's ridiculous shoes are usually a total mess and they'll just put random like an extra ear on something it's so bizarre it's quite crazy but I I obviously I'm an artist so I can just um you know correct everything I did some great Christmas cards today better late than never a drawings and um they're all on Redbubble so if you probably have a Redbubble Telltale Club as well it's Grandma becomes a tattooist and other news from iServalan at Tale Teller Club

 hello Internet welcome to the four poster bed and it's absolutely miserable weather here today and I've got a really bad foot and I'm absolutely convinced that cold weather now aggravates all my arthritic complaints that which are spread all around my body in the summer in the most unusual places weird things that you know have never hurt before why would my foot suddenly hurt you know it's the weather it's the British weather so now I have in my mind that I need to get an apartment in my Bayer or somewhere exotic and warm I'm not sure where that's a short journey by plane and I figure that Spain is probably the best way to go there um I'm not a seasoned Traveler I lived in Johannesburg and one wouldn't want to Holiday there very often for many many reasons including crime rate very high crime rate there but also Darlings the 30 well no it's 11 hours the flight to South Africa now to joburg is 11 hours I believe when I first went and I went with three children because I I was pregnant with my fourth actually when I came back but when I went there I only had three but it was a 13-hour Journey can you believe that of course if you go to Australia I think it's is it 24 hours or something absurd it's a ridiculous amount of hours um anyway it's it's not you know you you need to nip somewhere for a break when you've got arthritis because you know it would destroy me traveling a journey like that absolutely destroy me I'm very off-putting but um also Greece I think is quite close I think is it no I don't know I don't know what I'm talking about the car is probably not is it um but as far south as you can go from the United Kingdom to find lovely warm weather and I believe that to be Spain so I'm seriously looking now because you know my my thing with sort of self-hypnosis all these things that I do and this idea that if you envisage it if you imagine it's in your mind it enables you you to say to the universe your Cosmos list um I want this to happen and I see myself there and therefore I'm going to make it happen you see so this is my latest thing no rush perhaps next year my foot pain you know I can put up with it you see mum's bought me an electric blanket for Christmas and it's going to just make everything different I feel I really do feel that although because you can't sleep in them can you it's really bad to do that so I won't be doing that um but first thing in the morning you see before I've even gone to get my coffee but it's about this day off you know today he's not here today so I have to do it myself which is a you know it's difficult dollies it's very difficult because the kitchen is past the piano and the beer the music room's cold because I I want to keep the piano and the instruments nice you see we don't want a really hot Central Heating in there it's really bad for one's instruments um so good for the body bad for the instruments warm weather um anyway what have I got to show you absolutely bucket loads actually of stuff I've been doing today and um yesterday and day before as you probably know I'm a licensed tattooist my and I've been really working with SMP which is scalp micropigmentation and I'm now a specialist in Skype micropigmentation the sun's very Grand doesn't it basically I stick needles into people's heads and fake their follicles their hair follicles and it looks like they've got a full head of cropped hair and you can do lovely lines on the scalp a dead straight line you know so if you've seen some people have that style don't they and it's really squared off so I can do that or I can do a more natural fading in sort of style um I can do bold patches very exciting so I joined this dating agency in order to advertise my well not to add well to sort of advertise but also to find men with bald heads um because I you can't find them here in this in this town I mean what can I do got somebody and say excuse me I see you have a bald head would you like me to tattoo you you can't do that what but what you can do is meet people and say oh yes I'm a scalp micropigmentation specialist and they'll say what is that and I'll say oh I scalp um bald patches and suddenly you you're you're an advert do you see so that was my intent but they weren't money and I'm not paying money for that I'd rather pay money to advertise on you know Google which I am doing actually anyway um all my equipment is here and it's absolutely taking up so much room so I need one of these makeup trolleys I'm I think I'm going on today I think that's due in um I'll take photographs I'll pop it on my Instagram and um I've also started selling hair braids which is really exciting and I've re-braided my hair it looks bloody fabulous guys I'm telling you really fabulous so now it's really interesting because of course I'm doing some music today but I'm going to do some music therapy today so I'm going to um have a look around and see what which algorithm I'm going to use for which health issue and I'll pop that up there so that'll be before lunch Darlings a bit of music therapy before lunch I think we maybe something for cold you know feeling cold I'll look up there'll be a medical term for it um for warming people up and perhaps I'll do that today on my cello it'd be quite nice wouldn't it and so I'll do some of that today because I haven't uploaded any music for about a week and I'm not feeling good about that so I'll do that but I'm literally filled with the joy of the excitement of a new year and I I've never had this before never have I had this before that I recall I've always thought oh January's freezing there's nothing interesting going to occur next year um also my daughter's having a baby which is due Christmas day which I'm very excited about that as well and it just feels you know that things are a lot of Life Darlings is about one's mood isn't it it's about your mindset and your take on things and if you recall last year I was I was sort of doing this thing where I was acting as if I was 20. um and it's been quite life-changing doing that and and when I say acting as if I was 20 I don't mean you know going going clubbing and and falling in the gutter and um you know sleeping around that's what I was doing at 20. well lovely days but you know you can't do that when you've got arthritis those two things are not no longer conducive but the mindset of being 20 which was you know being open to lovely new opportunities to being excited about new careers to um spending a lot of time on my on how I look um to seeking out friendships which I've delayed until now so I've started going on you know my sort of starting to reacquaint myself with old friends which was lovely this week I did that this week and it was really nice actually to catch up you have to be a bit choosy about you know who you're catching up with there's some real Philistines in the world and it is you're best to avoid them and now I just think well did has this person been cruel to me I think that's a really a really good can you hear me me rustling I've got I'm wearing silk but it's it's a silk shirt it's quite crisp it's a bit rustly um I think it's really important to you know rather than just have acquaintances to to think well have they been horrible to me and then when you're in business of course the business the biggest business thing is is this person possibly useful to me does this person talk a lot does this person gossip so I've added some gossips to my Facebook because they'll gossip about me you see and if you gossip about me you're going to have to really say oh yeah she does tattoos um or you know she does she's designed this bra will it ever happen you know stuff like that well the bra is going to happen in January as um I dreamed last night or was it dreamed I dreamed of how the bra is going to look and how I'm going to Market it so I've I always said actually January New Year I was going to launch it and now I'm convinced of the methods that I'm going to use to Market it and I'm very very pleased with that so I'm going to buy the raw materials today and I'm going to put one together and not least because you know last the Mark 1 and Mark II Bra were not good enough um and the Mark II was it looked lovely but it was exactly the same almost bar one slight detail as a normal bra as an ordinary bra so it didn't help my heartburn at all but I've licked it I absolutely know that Mark 3 is going to be the one um so oh anyway but getting back to you know just feeling absolutely bloody marvelous and and filled with hope now the thing is as well I think when you're when you've got these ideas of grandeur which I have constantly I also I'm not scared by disappointment disappointment is no longer after 60 years a thing that fills me with Dread or fear it in fact it it's barely it's barely there at all I accept that I may be I may find certain results disappointing but that's fine as well because a lot of it's about the journey isn't it a lot of the um the gain even if the result is disappointing the getting there is is quite often rather fabulous and that's what I'm thinking about all these wonderful sort of business things that I'm you know the new career um that I'm starting as of next year and all these other things these exciting things you know becoming an inventor if you do if you invent a bra that stops heartburn you know that's um other league fabulousness isn't it so all these things but it filled me with I hope and joy and wonder this morning when I woke up you know I do this sort of thing where I wake up and I don't get out of bed for a while sort of you know it's far too cold to lie there for a little bit longer I've no idea how long it takes to sort of I call it the coming round face as if I've been bonked on the head and I I you know I'm sort of coming around it doesn't happen straight away I don't suddenly just get up so anyway um along with all of that um I went out yesterday with mum she had mum lives in this we call it sheltered housing in this country and it's um it's a sort of count local social housing establishment for the over 55s but most of them are about 80. and they have a sort of communal Lounge which is really really nice and it's covered in Christmas decorations and it's a really pretty Lounge it was recently renovated and it looks superb and it looks like somewhere that you'd want to spend the afternoon and you know there's winged armchairs that are so classic for the elderly um but really pretty colors really pretty curtain curtaining and somebody had done all the decorations and they were so full and so gorgeous and a wonderful tree and it's just so nice that this one this wonderful provision actually for a group of of people who are there's a manager so that uh there are and all the flats all the rooms have these pulleys so people can pull on them and the ambulance come although of course our ambulances are on strike today in this country for more pay quite rightly so I think our nurses are on strike too so they've actually said to people don't don't play contact Sports who would anyway and basically don't do anything risky so I perhaps I shouldn't go out today on my bike in the pouring rain it's quite risky isn't it um but they the thing is they are coming out for emergencies so if I got hit by a bus they probably would come out but they're not coming out for anything else because they're on strike um anyway the sheltered housing is all geared up for people who are slightly in firm but have not yet reached God's waiting room although there are a couple of people there who look perhaps that infirm but they've got their zimmers and they do get about and they can we did a raffle yesterday a Tombola thing and there was one lady who was very slow to collect her prize and she hadn't sat back down when she won another one um and it was I think three times it would have been the most exercise she's ever had poor woman very very bent over with her Zimmer um quite funny but anyway it was a pleasant enough afternoon and um it was very really uh very cheap food which is always unfortunate um you know the buffet but it was only two pounds we paid two pounds each so that was nothing so yeah that's what I did yesterday and and it was very pleasant but I wanted to come home because all of my deliveries the rest of my kit was here for my tattooing and I really wanted to see it and I wanted to re-braid my hair and all these other things so um yeah that that was the first Christmas event is now over it's done and dusted Darlings and I feel a little bit Christmassy although not so much and I realize it's Christmas in about four days isn't it and I really should be getting my act together with all the presents and things and I need to pack because we're going to Brighton and we're going to stay at the the hotel we're going to go to the ground we're going to have uh dinner and you know Christmas dinner and all the presents with my one of my other daughters and then my other daughter was having a baby so suddenly the 25th is going to be very very exciting although the chances of actually given birth on the day that they tell you are reasonably slim you know it's usually one or two or three other side sometimes it's two weeks later you know because the the way they um guess it is uh is is a little bit strange it's not exact ly so um yeah so there we go I'm really excited about an awful lot of things today and being excited and being filled with joy and hope and wonder um is one of the bestest feelings to wake up to in the world and I hope you've got that too I really really do hope that everybody's okay and I can share a little bit of the love and joy through this podcast so there we go bit of music later I'll see I'll see if there's one for depression shall I what is it sad seasonal adjustment disorder I see if there's one should I do that that's such a good idea guys let's do that okay I'm going to I'm going to go and do some music therapy they're all my music therapy tapes remember are free and you can go on to uh YouTube they're all on YouTube and you can just listen and the best way to do it is to um add YouTube music to your your phone and listen there but you don't have to what you can do I've put them all on a playlist and you can just go to Crafting and gold leaf, budgeting for Christmas

 hello musicians and listeners and anyone else who happens to have ambled past the penthouse today at least virtually virtually um I got quite low today and do you know what it is is because I can't spend any money and it's a very real condition retail therapy it obviously it's completely and utterly you know Third World um and actually quite disgusting but there is something about not being able to spend any money that actually has made me really really low today I I got you know obviously I'm a musician so I get paid for things and everything I got paid for had to you know be had to go out on sort of credit cards and what have you because I bought my electric cello and I bought a Designer Rug and I'm still paying the price for such extravagances and I so I can't I although it's it's been a month now where I haven't bought anything I mean I've bought a few little tiny things at the Chad shop but I have I really haven't spent much money and now this month is going to be even worse and I just think oh there's you know there's nothing to look forward to so I'm going to try where try some some other things today just you know how can I get the same pleasure that I get from buying the clothes you know the beautiful things for my home because you know when you have a house like this it needs upgrading all the time it needs to be fashion conscious it needs to be Instagram ready it needs to be um you know cleaned and spruced very regularly every room needs sprucing I mean the music room floor I have to paint three times a year because it's white and I have to touch up the white you know I don't do the whole thing but I have to touch up the white areas and it's a pain in the neck frankly but it's expensive and I think this is the problem when you live frugally and you have you know there aren't you say you've just got a a bed set say you've got a bed set and your you know you've got a bed and a wardrobe and you're quite happy with that you don't have this same urgency that I seem to have which looks at something and says I don't like that light switch anymore I'm going to go and buy some gold ones do you see funny enough I'm just watching a program where there's a lady gold leafing and you know I Gold Leaf now I make lots and lots of beautiful Gold Leaf art um and it's not cheap either and as soon as you start doing large expanses you know that the price rockets at the moment I've just done these tiny little babies and they look like charms they're absolutely gorgeous and I my mum's going to get me a drill and everything jewelry drill and stuff for Christmas and because I love doing tiny things because they're cheap because they they don't take up any storage but I've got this beautiful wooden cross that I want to Gold Leaf and it's you know it's going to cost actually quite a bit to do because I'm going to get probably get through about four packets of gold leaf and it's 24 karat gold so do you see that it's um it's quite saddening that I can't even really buy my craft stuff actually my mum always says to me never underestimate the cost of crafts and never underestimate the amount of money that crafts people will spend on Craft equipment and it's so true if you look on eBay at all the things that you need you know you sort of need really um of quality because the thing is if if you buy off eBay under the you know things under a tenor really you know like drills and a clamp I need a clamp um all these things you can bet your bottom dollar they're not high grade and for example I bought um screwdrivers a set of screwdrivers there are about 30 screwdrivers super super and they all unscrewed once and then the the threads just go on the on the tips I don't know they're not threads other bits you know what I mean because the metal was so soft so incredibly soft um so actually what I'd advise there is when you if you go to a junk shop or a charity shop not really a child shop you want something a bit more raw than that like um somewhere that sells sort of outdoor stuff and tools I'd I'd buy up all the old tools because they're much better quality they're really fabulous actually if possible don't buy from China that's my recommend because I mean everything's made in China I realize but don't buy the cheap stuff that you see on eBay or wish or Amazon it was all made in China and if it's cheap it's cheap for a reason but the other thing that they do is because I've been buying expensive things now my the targeting is for really expensive things so you know on my Facebook and Google and everywhere I just get really expensive um advertisements you know for for sort of high-end stuff and of course that's just making me even more depressed so I've had a real like bear today I just thought I I can't bear this not having any money and perhaps I ought to just go and buy something but I'm not going to what I'm going to do instead is the light's shining now in a nice advantageous spot so I'm going to pop a few things up on eBay these are my designer clothes that I no longer wear Posh porn I believe they call it and I'm going to pop all that up today you know maybe four or five items and anything that I generate from that I'm going to allow myself to spend it immediately because you know that that sort of sense of working towards something and having a girl is really really nice I think um so yes there we go that's that's the state of the nation the state of um my finances but I'll get back on top of it you know by the end of next month but it still means four weeks really um and then as as I've promised the world and the you know God if there is such a thing um that I won't be lavish and wasteful um I do feel that I I need to rein it in a bit I mean I know I do it's it's shocking really but on a cheerier note I've got a Christmas track for you so I've just uh sent this off to the Publishers it'll be released probably tomorrow on YouTube I hope and then in a few days on um iTunes and what have you my last song God Only Knows uh hasn't hasn't gone live yet on YouTube so I've had to remove it from uh YouTube because the royalties aren't being collected for me so you have to be really wise to all this stuff you know um but there we go let's let's play it it's a Christmas song and it's really lovely and I guess when I was watching it the video that I that I made you know you watched it at the end and uh it's so lavish isn't it Christmas time it's an incredibly lavish time for it's an overly indulgent time where we're completely utterly duped into spending more than we can afford I think that's probably what's depressing me more that I'd love to you know I'd love to buy my daughters some lovely jewelry I'd like to buy mum something beautiful and you know making presents that have that same effect as you know I gave my daughter a diamond ring for her birthday and the look on her face you know it was just so such a pleasure for me and she was quite overwhelmed and you want that you want you want you know you want to wallow in that sort of brownie mum points and then the grandkids you know um so I'm finding it quite tough I shouldn't have um obviously you know I should have been planning Christmas ahead I think so what I'm going to do today is I'm going to put my things on eBay and then I'm going to try and I'll pop some pictures up of the babies they're on my blog actually um telltale.com if you go there I'll put some pictures up in a minute of the gold leaf babies that I've done and what I'm doing I'm making I don't know if you've heard of them they're called Ethiopian worry dolls and they're these tiny little dolls in in a little blanket and you whisper to them yours your worries and your anxieties and then you um wrap them up and you put them under your pillow and they're said to take away your worries well I'm making the gold babies and they're going to make they're going to have little blankets and they've cost me very very little to make so I think that's what I need to do isn't it really let's try and find some stuff that we can do for Christmas that that's really affordable now I'll tell you what else I got yesterday in a charity shop it was it's a frame it's a mirror frame it's about eight or nine inches Square by Laura Ashley and I paid four pounds 50 for it and I didn't realize it was Laura Ashley but I needed a frame for my daughter for her Christmas present and then my brother said oh it's Laura Ashley because he he's got better glasses than I and um I'm really pleased with that it still cost me 450 but the art that I'm putting in obviously just cost my time time is money we know that but as a crafter you know what else am I going to do sitting here night after night you know I don't I'm I'm a single woman with a cat there are three hours in the evenings so that's what I should be doing so and um oh I watched actually a program yesterday uh a mini series that had been on Amazon Prime and now it's on our free channel here and um it's called the English and it's a sort of contemporary Western I say contemporary it's period drama it's set in the past but it's contemporary stylistically and it's beautifully short really beautifully shot so I binge watched it yesterday um and I couldn't take my eyes off it so I didn't actually get any any crafting done but I was you know healing from my IBS and what have you so I watched this six episodes I think they're about 45 minutes each they're a bit bit less than an hour I watched all six last evening and it was a total pleasure Absolute Total pleasure I mean just really captivating and it was the characterization it was the actors who who captivated me their faces but also the The Moody shots lovely Moody shots and the way that it was constructed I really really enjoyed that um so I'm going to recommend that actually the English felt really good um so yes anyway back to how are we going to get through the next um six weeks or so is it what what is the date in 1st of November so uh no 23rd of November so oh it's it's like four weeks so it's only about four weeks Darlings until Christmas so I'll try and come up with something each day that we can make for free or cheap cheap okay so um obviously the thing today my recommended day is Art and you can recycle things you can paint on cardboard and you can paint on um you know packets that you've got for the shopping just cut the exterior and turn it round and then paint and here's a tip actually if you because it can be quite gray and dark if you just undercoat with any White household wall paint um that that means that your color that you're going that you put on top of it whatever that may be will be really intense and and nice and bright okay so I've actually given you a couple of tips today haven't I um how cool is that so let's let's not get depressed let's it'll be as good for me as it will be for you guys because actually just sitting here telling you about things that we can do on the cheap is make is cheering me up already it's made me feel much better about you know the next month of being really really poor in this terrible Global downturn and guess what apparently Britain we've got the worst we've got the worst economic um slowdown and it's going to take us the longest to get out and I I can't understand why why why do we have a worse um you know plan then then anywhere else in Europe that's and America what happened what did we do wrong guys so perhaps you could tell me pop over to my blog and uh and let me know
